Why Blog?
I created this blog mostly to help me remember what outfits I've worn and where I've worn them. When I started this blog, I was working at American Eagle Outfitters and desperately needed a way to help me remember what outfits I'd already worn to work. (A selfish reason for blogging.) I no longer work at AEO, so over the summer I will be doing much less fashion blogging until I return back to school to get my Master's in the fall.
I also usually have crafts and DIY projects that I want to share, and maybe others can benefit from seeing what I've already created. (Not-so-selfish reason for blogging.) Additionally, I am great at finding bargains. I want to share how I find bargains and hopefully inspire you to shop with more thriftiness and prudence.

A Word On Recycling
I am a big believer in recycling. I will not let you throw a single can, bottle, jug, or scrap of paper in the trash can in my house. It must go in one of the recycling bins.
This same idea carries over into the way I view clothes. I believe that clothes, jewelry, and shoes need to be recycled. I believe in global warming, and I know that mass-producing clothes is harmful to our precious earth. Re-using clothes and shoes is a great way to cut down on the waste that is produced when clothes are manufactured. Instead, we have the beneficial by-product of a reduced demand for new clothes. People have told me that wearing a stranger's shoes grosses them out, but I am not afraid to wear other people's shoes. At least two-thirds of my fifty pairs of shoes are second-hand shoes, and no harm has come to my feet because of this.

I hope you will consider wearing more used clothes!
